Dry eyes? Slept with your contacts on?

Ouch, my eyes.... am suffering so bad because I fell asleep with my contact lenses on. Moreover I've always had the dry eye symptoms.

The feeling of waking up with contact lenses on: Not bad.
The feeling of taking off said contact lenses on: NASTY!!!

First and foremost, the lenses WILL be stuck to your eyeballs. Like, literally 'two become one' with your eyeballs. When you try to remove them, you WILL have to pinch them out with both your fingers (or more). Even then, you WILL have a very hard time trying to remove them, gotta try a few times maybe.

Then... when you finally successfully remove them, you will feel as if you took part of your cornea off. It's a fact, not just 'as if'. The famous Eye Doctor from Vista Lasik Center said so....

Consequence of sleeping with contact lens on: Peeled eyeballs, burning sensation, blood shot eyes....

Anyhow, to lessen the burn and redness, I drench my eyes with this eye lubricant. It's really known as Systane, Lubricant Eye Drops - Soothing Comfort, Dry Eye Therapy. Sound so professional right?? The Eye Doctor from Vista gave them to me during my last visit, but I saw them at the racks in Guardian, retailing at about RM 20 for 15 ml. Bit pricey, but DEFINITELY worth it. Works like magic for dry eyes. I cannot recommend this Dry Eye Therapy enough.

Shites, hope I don't have to go to work with my blood shot eyes...

Paint Me Gorgeous - Bobbi Brown Espresso

Oh the new Bobbi Brown Sandwashed Nude Palette for it's Fall 2007 Collection, V. Nice! Currently retailing at RM 190 at your local Malaysian Bobbi Brown counters! V. Cheap for 7 shades...

I can't wait to get my hands on the shades. 6 out of the 7 shades are new metallic shades, except for Espresso. Expresso is this black shadow, that is really thin and you can really layer it on. Anyways geekchic did a review on this palette and said she would try Espresso to smudge her outer eyes... not sure what that meant, but I've used this shade to do a smokey eye, with a Stila gold shadow (Lamé, I love it! It was supposedly some Stila Pro shade, but available to us, makeup consumers, now)

Here it is.

p/s:- That's a pic of my colleague and I at another colleague's birthday.

Paint Me Gorgeous - Ohhh my bad experience with eyelash glue...

Help! My eyelashes are stuck together...

Yesterday I bought a bottle of fake eyelash glue from our local beauty store, Sasa, at One Utama. At first I was contemplating getting the glue from Shu Uemura, as I was quite apprehensive about getting some 'unbranded' sticky stuff so close to my eyes... anyways, to make it short, due to my laziness to walk over to the Shu Uemura counter, and since I was already at Sasa, I got myself a bottle of fake lashes glue called "Cecil Eyeputti" for RM 29.90. I think its quite pricey, as the Shu Uemura lashglue is only going for about RM 27.

There's some Japanese words on the blue box, but I'm not sure whether it's really from Japan. It only says : Di-import Oleh: Perniagaan Lily, 98-98A, Jalan Chengai, Tmn Melodies, 80250, Johor Bahru.

Anyways just now I tried on fake lashes for the first time in my life and LET ME PUT IT TO YOU. It's NOT A BLOODY EASY TASK!! This looking good business is getting to be more difficult!

First of all, the glue was quite sticky. Then I had problem positioning the lashes. I couldn't get the lashes close enough to my real lashline.... I'm such a noob.

Then I didn't know how to remove the fake lashes, so I just pulled them off. Ohhh it was a real nasty and painful affair... Perhaps I should have used water to dilute the glue....

Anyways, first time experience with fake lashes + glue = bad. Right now I still have glue residue on my lids, and my real lashes are stuck together and look a bit frizzy. I hope there isn't any chemical reaction between the glue and my lashes, I have very little lashes already...

Paint Me Gorgeous - Nivea Sun Oil & Nivea Sun Touch Self Tan Spray

During the 5 days we were in Phuket, my friends and I went to the beach 3 times. Once to check it out, and the other 2 days to do what people normally go do in Phuket... watersports, swimming, sunbathe, drink beer in the sun.

Beer was relatively cheap there, 60 Baht (RM 6) for a Singha, 70 Baht (RM 7) for a Heineken. Although the authenticity of the Heineken beer cannot be proven... all of them did not have the Heineken sticker label that I love to tear out.

Yes, EVERYONE's gotta pay to use the deck chairs. It was 80 Baht (RM 8) per deck chair, but Tony, the guy operating the place was really nice, so no matter... wouldn't wanna be washed away by the sea like what happened to poor Suet Li (on a completely different note, Suet li is a very interesting girl, I just read a lotttt of her posts).

I suntanned 3 times while I was there, twice on Patong and once at the pool side hotel. So avoid getting sunburnt and to ensure nice golden tan, I used Nivea Sun Oil. SPF 2. Not sure whether the SPF 2 was sufficient, but I slathered them on, and nope, I didn't get burnt :)

Here it is, I bought it from the local Carrefour for about 200 Baht (RM 20).

The image “http://products2.nivea.com/img/generated/scaled/b3083503c58722e223e271efb915ec37.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

The overall tan I got was nice. Golden brown. I was already tanned from before, my arms being more tanned than the rest of my body, so in the end, my stomach and chest area was slightly lighter than the rest of my body.

I thought it looked a bit weird, so I used the Nivea Sun Touch Self Tan Spray on the lighter parts.

I liked the spray head very much, as it means clumsy me won't spill them all over the place. It had a very nice smell to it, not too strong, but nice enough for me to skip my normal Issey spray. Mind you, I'm not the type who loves sticky smelly stuff on my skin. Anyways....

I applied the Nivea Sun Touch Self Tan Spray all over my chest and stomach after shower, and now my tan is even and complete! Voila. It took me 2 applications before the two different tan matched. Nope, it didn't turn me orange like some horror self tan lotion can do and has done (not to me, but other selftanners). I guess this means it's suitable for Asians, but then, how many Asians you know want to be tan? Japanese maybe, but everyone else goes for sunBLOCK. ;)

Not sure how much it costs though, since I didn't buy it. I don't think you can get either of this in Malaysia. The local Watsons and Guardians only carry the Banana Boat range.

Ok, the result. I didn't twitch the image, this is what it looks like under the sun. How?

oppss just realised the focus of the pic is my pit. Sorry for the horror ;P

Back from Phuket!!

Back from Phuket! I am tan as hell now, but I LIKE IT! my bf likes it!

But that also means that I have to get a new foundation shade... otherwise I will look like a piece of chocolate smearing on foundation... any suggestion on what foundation I should try?

I went parasailing, which was pretty expensive at 700 Baht for about 2 minutes.. but it is the experience that counts, right?

Here's a pic taken during dinner at an Irish Bar on Patong Beach. Very light makeup.

And this is what it looks like with flash. Can see that the powder is already a bit too white for me.

I used...

Shiseido Poreless Supplist Foundation in 06
Stila Eyebrow Pencil in Chestnut
Bobbi Brown Blusher in Slopes
Stila Eyeliner in Violet
Lancome Juicy Tube in Fulidu
