Dark eyes red lips.
These days nearly every magazine I flip I see dark eyes and red lips. I heard there is this 'makeup rule' that states that you should always focus on one part only, either your eyes or your lips, but I guess the designers don't give a damn about any rules...
Since I have a hen's night to attend soon, I thought the theme could be dark eyes red lips with long dresses... sure damn outstanding wan!

i think the red lips/dark eyes could work, it just depends on what type of place you are going to.
I love both looks, but I love the dark eyes light lips better! and I would say, leave the dark eyes red lips to fashion mags :)

Kevyn Aucoin convinced me that even dark eyes and dark lips can work so there really isn't a set rule about it! Anyways, I think the look is gorgeous on you BUT I'd probably go for a less bright red lip just to soften the look a little. It's looking a tad vampy at the moment. I don't fancy the nude lips on you. Looks incomplete.

I normally am not one for red lips, but you pulled it off really well! The first look would be stunning paired with a simple black outfit, me thinks. The second one, um, some lip gloss or a pale pink shade on the lips will complete the look. :)
I think your tanned skin tone makes the smoky eyes red lips look OK ... a too-light shade of foundation would easily make it look ashy ... people with fair complexion also should not try that. I think a darker, berry shade lipstick would look better though? Or even dark reds

The red lips balance the smoky eye, but is strictly a nighttime look. With the nude lips, I'd recommend a sheer nude lipstick that slightly intensifies your natural lip color.
