Maquillage Combing Remover.

I admit I'm not a hardcore Shiseido makeup fan, mostly because their products are so blah. Nothing exciting, nothing really outstanding but an exception would be their base makeup products such as foundation, two way cake (I loved the Poreless Supplist) as Japanese brands make the best base makeup products.

But this product changed my mind about Shiseido. This is the Maquillage Combing Remover (Maquillage is a subline from Shiseido), a mascara remover for ladies who dread wearing eye makeup because they find it so difficult to remove them after. Yes, even for waterproof mascara!

Sorry about the crappy image, can't find a better one!

Basically you just click and twist the pen till the remover covers the comb, then you comb your lashes in strokes similar to those when you're applying mascara. Your lashes will be fully coated with the oil based remover, and then you just wipe away.

Innovative or what?

According to Shiseido, no more harsh tugging and rubbing. I can totally relate to that, I am so rough with myself, especially when removing waterproof mascara. They also said its coated with amino acid, good for your lashes bla bla but I don't care about that :P

My concern:- Will the click and twist mechanism deliver the right amount of remover to the comb or might it overspill like some other click and twist products out there?

I can't find the official Maquillage website, but you can buy it from Akinaiblog Japan Shop for USD 16. Hurry though if you want it, there's only 9 pieces left last time I checked.

Hi, I've just been browsing around and noticed your blog. There is actually a similar product made by Kiss Me that's been around for a while. You can view the product here:

It's a lot cheaper than Maquillage (at least when you buy it in Taiwan) and it works pretty well for me.
